I am sitting here in bed just crying with joy! Since I put up the post for “Facelift” less than 24 hours the entire project has been paid for! God is so good!

Praise the Lord!

That’s wonderful! I loved the place where I could donate online.
That’s amazing!
Praise God for the work you are doing there, Steph!! The faithful servant who made the request is being rewarded and so are the people she serves!
HI Stephanie, I wanted to thank you for what you are doing in Soddo. We have made a donation and are so happy to do so. We are adopting a child from Ethiopia and currently, she is in an orphanage in Soddo, waiting until we get a court date and then travel to bring her home. Your blog is so close to my heart right now. Thank you.
Kim, If you don’t mind me asking which orphanage is she at? I may have met your little jewel. I get to do the physical exams at one of the orphanages in town. It is an “adoptable” orphanage. If you end up coming to Soddo on your trip to pick her up, I would love to meet you. And you would be more than welcome to stay at my house. Blessings and thank you!
Hi Stephanie, she is at Foundation for Children’s Hope. I may have that name a little off, I’ve seen it written a few different ways. I believe it is an adoptable orphanage. She is around 4 years old. She will eventually be moved to an orphanage in Addis, but my husband and I will be traveling to Soddo to meet members of her birth family, probably after the courts open again, this Fall. I will definitely let you know, and would love to meet you!
I am not familiar with that orphanage. I know the name of 4-5, but that one doesn’t ring a bell. I am so excited for you and your family. If you need anything from here or there is anything I can do please let me know. I look forward to meeting you!
Kim,
I see you are going to be traveling to Soddo in the fall! I have been saving up medical supplies for Stephanie and was trying to figure out how to get them to her without having to pay outrageous taxes on them if I were to mail them! Would you be willing to take a suitcase to her if I pay the expense of it (Stephanie said about 200 dollars)?
That would be great!!!! And usually it is a 50lb max. There is NO way you can ship 50 lbs for $200. I hope this works!
Hi Kari,
Yes, I would be happy to bring the supplies. We are not sure of specific dates yet and we have to make 2 trips. One of the trips is just to Addis for a court date. The second trip includes a visit to our daughter’s birth family. This is the trip that will take us to Soddo. It may not be until November. Is that ok? I can let you know when I get more info on dates, etc. I’ll find your email so we can talk specifics.
Kim, I am so very excited! praise God! I have been praying that God would give me a way to get these supplies over there and you are the answered prayer! November is perfect! My email is hibbard1041@frontier.com. I look forward to talking with you! Thank you so much!
Kari
Steph…Our God is a Great God who works through people all over the world. We give willingly, knowing that whatever we give will be multiplied over and over. We love you, and pray for you.
He is great indeed! Hugs.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow! This is so amazing Stephanie! Ever since I started reading your blog I can’t stop thinking about the overwhelming needs and what it is I could do to help. The power of prayer speaks volumes! God heard our cries and responded as he always does! Praise Him! The joy I’m feeling can’t be compared to the joy you must be feeling!
Love you Stephanie!! You are doing an incredible job!!!
Hey Stephanie, Linda Dannemiller who went to China here. I just read your post on SP’s monthly update. You ran out of gauze in the hospital? I thought I had problems, we just have issues getting medicines here and not supplies. Wow. How is it? You hanging in there? I am going back to the States for Christmas, but not before then. (otherwise, in May for instance… I might not have come back!) My life sounds completely different from yours, it sounds like you have grown much and done some very cool medical stuff. My life is nonstop relationships and teaching. Things are getting better here, but my idea of fun on a Friday night is hiding in my apartment with a Mandarin movie! So hard to learn the language when you work 11 hours everyday! oh well, your writings have encouraged me! Work hard, but not too hard!
